چکیده

Objective . To reveal the effective and safe timing of tracheostomy in patients with CNS diseases by comparative assessment duration respiratory support ICU, frequency development ventilator-associated pneumonia, level consciousness according to Glasgow Coma Scale (GCS), survival rate, as well incidence complications rate. Materials methods A retrospective study was conducted among neurological neurosurgical treated from 2010 2017 who underwent tracheostomy. Patients (n=131) were divided into 3 groups depending on time. Results The relation between early support, ICU bed-day, probability developing pneumonia central nervous system pathology revealed; no relationship found time outcome rate this category patients. Conclusion use intensive care is effective, which proved a 2,2 times reduction mechanical ventilation, 1.9 day, 1.6 lower risk without affecting outcomes being due absence lot both during after surgical intervention.

Central nervous system infections in the intensive care unit.

Infections of the central nervous system are a frequent cause for admission to the intensive care unit (ICU). These infections can be the reason for presentation to a hospital or a complication of an injury or surgical procedure. Diagnosing these infections can be very challenging, given the relative paucity of tests with high sensitivity and specificity. Regardless, identifying and treating th...

HYPERVITAMINOSIS A-INDUCED CENTRAL NERVOUS SYSTEM DEFECTS

In this investigation the effects of excess vitamin A administration during the early embryonic period were studied. Intramuscular injection of a single dose of 15000,20000 or 25000 IU/kg vitamin A to pregnant Balb/c strain mice on either day 7,8,9 or 10 of gestation (vaginal plug= day 0 of gestation) produced major malformations in the central nervous system (CNS) including exencephaly, h...

Infectious diseases of the central nervous system.

Neurologic disease is seen commonly in cats, with infectious causes accounting for 30-45% of cases. However, since a specific infection cannot be identified in 12-40% of these cases, it is essential that we try to understand these cases better in the hope that we can eventually identify the cause(s), and so determine how best to treat and/or prevent them.

Viral diseases of the central nervous system.

Virus-induced diseases of the central nervous system (CNS) represent a significant burden to human health worldwide. The complexity of these diseases is influenced by the sheer number of different neurotropic viruses, the diverse routes of CNS entry, viral tropism, and the immune system. Using a combination of human pathological data and experimental animal models, we have begun to uncover many...
